Update the WP Foreman plugin

From 0.7.1 on, update the plugin on a site with one click from its Overview.

When a newer WP Foreman plugin is out, the site’s Overview and its Plugins & themes page show a banner with the version. Each update is listed under Recent work on Plugins & themes and in the site’s log.

Sites on 0.7.1 or newer

Click Update to … in the banner. WP Foreman tells the site to download the new version from WP Foreman and replace itself. The site stays connected and the plugin stays active. The site checks the version inside the download first and refuses anything older than what it already has.

Sites on an older version (one time only)

  1. Click Download it in the banner to get the latest plugin .zip.
  2. On the site, go to Plugins › Add New › Upload Plugin and upload the .zip.
  3. Choose Replace current with uploaded. Your connection is kept.

After that, future updates are one click from WP Foreman.
