Plan & billing
See your plan, how many sites and team members you're using, your Ask the Foreman allowance, backup storage and receipts.
Updated Oct 11, 2026
Go to Settings › Plan & billing to see what your account includes and how much of it you’re using.
What’s on the page
- Your plan: Free, Per site (monthly or yearly), Beta or Lifetime, and since when.
- Sites: how many you’ve connected out of your limit. At the limit, remove a site you no longer manage to add another.
- Team members: people on your team besides you. Invites waiting to be accepted count too. See Team members.
- Ask the Foreman: how much of this month’s allowance the team has used, and when it resets. Everyone on the team shares it. With your own Anthropic key (Settings › AI) there’s no limit.
- Backup storage: how much space your backups take on WP Foreman’s storage, against fair use of about 10 GB per site, pooled. Backups to your own Google Drive, Dropbox or S3 don’t count. See Storage options.
- Purchases: each lifetime plan you bought, with a Receipt link to Stripe’s receipt.
What each plan includes
- Free: one site with every feature and a small monthly Ask the Foreman allowance. No card needed.
- Per site (monthly or yearly): your first site stays free; each site after that is $1.99 a month (sites 2–100), $1.79 (101–250) and $1.59 (251+). Yearly is 10× the monthly price, so two months free. Unlimited team members and a bigger Ask the Foreman allowance.
- Beta: up to 5 sites, 2 team members and a small Ask the Foreman allowance, free while WP Foreman is in beta. Need more? Use Send feedback.
- Lifetime: 25, 50, 100 or 250 sites with 2, 3, 4 or 5 team members, every feature now and later. Plans bought during the deal stack.
Set up billing when you sign up
Planning to add several sites right away? Pick how many on the pricing page and click Start with … sites, or on the sign-up page choose More than one: set up billing now. Right after you sign in, Stripe’s checkout opens for a plan with that many sites (your first site is free). Already signed in? The pricing page button takes you straight to checkout.
Upgrade to pay per site
- On Settings › Plan & billing, pick Monthly or Yearly, set Sites on your plan, and click Upgrade.
- Pay securely with Stripe. A plan with just one site costs nothing; your card is kept on file. When you’re done you land on your dashboard, ready to connect sites.
- Add sites as usual. Connect more sites than your plan covers and your bill follows automatically (see Adding a site mid-period).
Change the sites on your plan
You pay for the sites on your plan, or for every connected site if that’s more. To change the number, go to Settings › Plan & billing, set Sites on your plan and click Update. The page shows your new total first. Going up charges the prorated difference right away; going down credits the unused part to your next invoice. You can’t go below the sites you have connected.
Adding a site mid-period
When a new site takes you past the sites on your plan, you’re charged right away for just the rest of the current period, prorated to the day, and Stripe emails a receipt. From the next renewal on, the full price for the new number of sites is billed as usual. Example: on monthly with 10 sites, adding an 11th halfway through the month charges about $1.00 now (half of $1.99), then $1.99 more each month from the next bill. On yearly, the same site added with 6 months left charges about $9.95 now. Removing a site works the other way: the unused part becomes a credit on your next invoice.
Adding several sites at once is one charge, not one per site. WP Foreman waits 15 minutes after a site is added, then bills for everything added in that time together. And you’re charged right away at most once a day: if you add more sites later the same day, that amount goes on your next invoice instead. (Lots of small charges in a row can make a bank freeze a card.) Changing Sites on your plan yourself is always charged right away.
When a paid plan ends
If you cancel, or Stripe can’t collect a payment after its retries, the plan ends on the date shown in Plan & billing and the account moves to the free plan (one website). Then:
- 5 days’ grace. Everything keeps working as before, so you have time to change your mind or move websites elsewhere.
- Websites beyond the free plan are paused. One website stays active: your first-connected one, unless you pick another: open that website and click Keep this one active in the banner at the top (you can swap any time). We email you a day before, and again with the list once they’re paused.
- Subscribe again any time and every paused website resumes right away.
A paused website keeps everything it had: its history, reports and backups. You can still open it, restore or download its backups, and remove it. What stops: scheduled and manual backups, plugin, theme and core updates, uptime and certificate checks, new reports, speed and visual checks, analytics snapshots, rules and one-click sign-in. Remove the active website and a paused one takes its place within the hour.
Manage billing
Click Manage billing to update your card, download invoices, switch between monthly and yearly, or cancel. When you cancel, everything keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then the account goes back to the free plan: your sites stay, but you can’t add more than one until you upgrade again.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it over the next few days and the page shows a notice. Update your card under Manage billing.
Team members can see the plan but not receipts. Only the account owner can buy or change a plan.
Billing emails
Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment. WP Foreman also emails the account owner when something changes with the plan:
- Subscribed: your plan is active, how many websites are billed and when the next payment is.
- Renews soon (yearly plans): 7 days before each renewal, with the date, the number of websites and the amount, so you can change or cancel first.
- Set to end: you cancelled; you keep everything until the date shown, then move to the free plan. It explains the 5 days’ grace and which website stays active.
- Will continue: you undid a cancellation.
- Ended: you’re on the free plan now. Your websites, backups and history stay, and it gives the date extra websites will be paused.
- Websites pause tomorrow: a day before the grace ends, if you have more websites than the free plan covers.
- Websites paused: the list of paused websites and how to resume them.
- Payment didn’t go through: Stripe retries over a few days. Update your card from Plan & billing › Manage billing to avoid any interruption.
