Team members
Invite the people who help you look after sites. They work on everything in your account; you keep the account-wide settings.
Updated Oct 11, 2026
If other people help you look after your sites, invite them to your team. They sign in with their own email, see every site and client in your account, and everything they do is logged under their name.
Invite someone
- Go to Settings › Team.
- Type their email address and click Send invite.
- They get an email with a Join the team button. The link works for 7 days.
- Once they join, they show under People. Until then they’re under Waiting to join, where you can Resend the email (it sends a fresh link) or Cancel the invite.
After joining, they sign in at app.wpforeman.com with Google (same email address) or by asking for a sign-in link. See Signing in.
Seats
Your plan includes a number of team members, shown at the top of the Team page (for example 1 of 3 team seats used). You don’t take up a seat yourself. Invites that haven’t been accepted yet count too, so cancel any you no longer need.
- Lifetime plans: 2, 3, 4 or 5 team members depending on the plan. Stacked plans add up.
- Per site (monthly or yearly): unlimited team members.
- Free plan: no team members. Upgrade in Plan & billing to invite people.
- Beta accounts: 2 team members.
What team members can do
- See and work on every site and client: updates, installs, backups, restores, clones, reports, rules, uptime, performance and notes.
- Add sites. They count toward your plan’s site limit.
- Use Ask the Foreman. Everyone on the team shares the account’s monthly allowance; each person has their own chats.
- Their name shows next to everything they do in Recent work and the site log. See Who changed what.
Only you, the account owner, can change backup storage, branding, API tokens, webhooks and the team. Team members don’t see those pages. Client reports always carry your branding, whoever sends them.
Each person has their own profile, timezone, notification settings and morning report.
On more than one team
One person can be on several teams, for example a freelancer who helps two agencies, and still have their own account. When you’re on more than one, a Working in switcher shows at the top of the menu. Pick a team, or My account, and you see only that account’s sites, clients and reports. Joining a team switches you to it.
Someone who joins a team without an account of their own gets an empty one with no plan. They work in the team’s account.
Leave or remove someone
Remove: on Settings › Team, click Remove next to their name. They lose access to your sites right away, but keep their own login and any other teams. Their past work stays in the logs, and you can invite them again later.
Leave: team members can click Leave team on Settings › Team.
Alerts
Everyone on the team gets the account’s alerts (site down or back up, SSL or domain expiring, backup or restore finished or failed, changes made outside WP Foreman), each following their own settings under Settings › Notifications. The morning report covers the account you’re working in.
API tokens always work on the token owner’s own account.
Thanks. If something was missing, tell us what.
